Scott Becker Multimedia- About the Artist

Scott Becker is a digital illustrator, graphic designer, internet designer and musician. He graduated from Ringling School of Art and Design of Sarasota, Florida in 1983 with a major in Illustration. He also completed an Associate Degree in Fine Art program at a community college in Pennsylvania in 1980.

He joined The Saint Petersburg Times in November 2006 as Senior Online Advertising Designer, and was promoted to Multimedia Team Supervisor after 6 months.

Scott leapt into the computer revolution in 1985 when he bought his first Macintosh 512K, completely enamored with the digital explosion. He switched totally to digital art in 1994, when the technology was able to reproduce the natural media techniques he had been utilizing in the creative field, and is now a certified, award-winning microchip-head. He began designing for the web in 1996 and thrives on pushing the envelope of the "new media" every day. Over the past 20 years, he has also been a performer, composer, engineer and producer of upcoming talent, as well as his own musical creations
